Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond is a popular and highly beloved English trance group formed in the year 2000 by Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamaki and Tony McGuinness. The three own the Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats labels and their also known for their weekly Group Therapy Radio show. In 2013 the three ranked seventeenth on the Top 100 DJs Poll.

Tri-State- Above 7 Beyond Debut Album

In the year 2006 the band created and released their fist debut artist album which received excellent praises on behalf of the DJ Magazine in the UK. The old-fashioned songwriting combined with the sleek electro rhythms turned the album into a “brilliant” one, as seen by critics. Best Underground Dance Track winner Andy Moor was also features on the album for the “Air for Life” song. Plus, the track created along with Richard Bedford – “Alone Tonight” received an important nomination for the International Dance Music Awards during its 22nd edition. Episode 280 of A State Of Trance also featured the “Can’t Sleep” single and it also ranked third on a top of the best 20 tracks of 2006. “Good for Me” was a successful Zoe Johnston featuring that was voted Tune of the Year and the band won the “Best Underground Dance Track” award in 2008 at the IDMA Awards thanks to their “Home” single.

 

The trio performed for around one million people in 2007 on New Year’s Eve in Rio de Janeiro on Barra Beach.
